NOTICE: EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

FISHING PROHIBITED FROM RESTHAVEN PROPERTY

Unfortunately, the time has come for us to prohibit fishing entirely from the banks of Resthaven property. We have always attempted to balance allowing people to peacefully fish, many of whom have done so for years, with our obligation to provide a safe, dignified and respectful final resting place for families and friends to visit. Unfortunately, the actions of what is undoubtedly a few have created a climate contrary to our goal and approach. Therefore, effective immediately, we have no choice but to prohibit all fishing from anywhere on Resthaven property. Our security personnel will initially inform those found fishing on our property of this policy change. Subsequently, those found not respecting our request and this policy will then be issued a trespass notification by the Oklahoma City Police Department. This revised policy will apply to all regardless of prior permission. Our priority is, and always has been, to the families who have entrusted Resthaven as the final resting place for their loved ones. It is our solemn obligation to provide an appropriate and dignified place to visit and remember. We hope you understand this revised policy and adhere to it as we honor and respect our families and their loved ones in Resthaven. Thank you
